The 2021 MAXUS Dukeries Rally on Sunday 5th December at Donington Park was a great success and was very popular with both competitors and spectators. This was the 62nd consecutive running of the Dukeries Rally and it started a full complement of 100 crews. This year the stages had the added twist of a short section of gravel road at the end of each stage.
The event was again won by Frank Bird and Jack Morton (Fiesta Rally2). The event results and award winners can be found on the event website HERE. The event report and a photo gallery will be added to the event website in due course. Photos are courtesy of Malcolm Almond and Kevin Money.
The organisation of the 2021 MAXUS Dukeries Rally was another huge undertaking, especially with the implementation of all the Covid-19 mitigation procedures. Our thanks go to the event sponsor MAXUS for their generous support, and to all the organising team, led by Clerk of the Course Bob Draper, and all the Officials, Marshals, Safety Crews and Competitors for playing their part. The MAXUS Dukeries Rally was the 5th stage rally that the club have organised and run since March 2020!
The event was the final round of the 2021 Dukeries MC Rally Championship points as well as 3 Regional Stage Rally Championships. The Dukeries MC Championship points are now published in the Championship section on this site. More about that and the 2021 Regional Rally Championships very soon.
