June 2024 is an exceptionally busy month for Dukeries MC…! We have the Rex Premier Anniversary Rally at Blyton Park on Saturday 15th June and the Rex YSTRA Targa Rally on Sunday 16th June again based at Blyton but with the Interclub event also using Ludford. Details of both events can be found in the Events section of this website.
Simply put we need the help of as many people as possible for the events to run safely. We currently do not have enough marshals to run everything we need to.
So, this is an appeal to all Dukeries MC members and to any other motorsport marshals, competitors or motorsport enthusiasts to please support these two non-spectator events.
Friday 14th June we are setting up the stages at Blyton Park and any help will be gratefully received.
Saturday 15th June is the Rex Premier Anniversary Stages which will be the first rally at Blyton in over 5 years. We have a good entry of around 75 cars, (see entry list link) but we need more marshals, especially to help run the controls. Any help will be very much appreciated.
Sunday 16th June is the Rex YSTRA Targa Rally which will be based at Blyton with the Interclub event also using Ludford airfield. Again, we need more marshals and observers on the special tests. Anyone who was at our last YSTRA Targa Rally at Grafton two years ago will know that it was great fun to be in amongst the action.
If you are competing or servicing on either Saturday or Sunday, please come and support the other day’s event by marshalling. The Targa Rally is non-spectator so please encourage your friends and family to come and run a control and support us (and you) in that way.
No experience is necessary for many roles, and we can guide you and buddy you up with someone that has experience.
