Unfortunately, we have to finally confirm that the annual Dukeries Motor Club Christmas Beano and Awards Presentation, which was provisionally scheduled for Friday 11th December at the Rugby Club, has had to be cancelled.
Back in late summer we were hopeful that it might have been possible but this second wave of infections and the subsequent restrictions on hospitality venues has made it impossible.
We will re-schedule the 2020 Awards Presentation to another date in Spring 2021 when hopefully the Covid-19 restrictions will no longer apply.
Please also note that the EMAMC Awards dinner that was scheduled for January 2021 has also been cancelled. Likewise it is also hoped to find a new date for the EMAMC awards.
We thought these two photos were appropriate. The first is some contestants in the Dukeries Christmas jumper competition warming up, whilst the second photo is some of the Dukeries members taken at the EMAMC Awards presentation in January 2019.
