27/12/2009: £1,200 raised for the Motorsport Safety Fund

We are pleased to record that Dukeries Motor Club has made a donation of £1,000 to the Motorsport Safety Fund which was all the proceeds from the sale of the Souvenir Programme for the Golden Jubilee Dukeries Rally. A further £200 was donated by Pirelli who supported the programme.

Thanks to everyone that bought a souvenir programme and to the advertisers, contributors, programme sellers and especially the programme editor Andy Smith, who put such a lot of effort into the success of this venture.

The Motorsports Safety Fund is a registered charity set up to improve safety in motorsport. It relies on donations from clubs, individuals and companies of maintaining and improving safety at motorsport events. In rallying it is best know for the grants it gives to Rally Rescue Units to fund equipment purchase and replacement.
